Although 80 percent of Salt Lake CAP’s Head Start budget is funded by federal grants, the remaining 20 percent must be matched through local community efforts, in either cash or in-kind services.
All donations and volunteers help to strengthen the more than 2,000 families that Salt Lake CAP Head Start serves annually. To achieve the goal of reducing the effects of poverty, we must recognize that it takes a community effort.
We all are affected by poverty, and as a community we can do something about it. No matter their economic status, all of Utah’s children deserve a head start in their education and in life.
Your charitable contribution has far-reaching benefits for low-income children and families in our communities. Here are some of the ways your generosity creates a brighter future through Head Start.
