Community Information

Community Partnerships
Community partners are essential to the success of every Head Start program. The Community Partnerships Team helps Salt Lake CAP Head Start develop and maintain strong and beneficial relationships with organizations and individuals who are important to our program’s success. The team has responsibilities in several areas:
  • Public relations and media contacts
  • Internal communications
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Community outreach and awareness activities
  • Development
Team members include the Community Partnerships Manager, Community Partnerships Assistant, Volunteer Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, and Development Officer.

Some of the team’s major projects are the Partnership Luncheon, United Way Day of Caring, community newsletter, Community Assessment, staff surveys, Head Start Bloom fundraising event, communication with public policy makers, public and private grant applications, and Fall Family Fest. The team reflects and supports Head Start’s emphasis on professionalism, excellence, and outstanding customer service.
